Keeping the Balance
Produced for the United Nations Environment Programme’s World Conservation Monitoring Centre, the film describes the centre’s biodiversity web resource and the training tool ‘Exercise Clean Seas’. It’s a presenter-led programme, shot in Cambridge and London, and it takes the viewer through the mechanics of how to use the web site, shows the training tool in action and includes interviews with key figures in the industry.

“The end result is brilliant. The Callisto crew filmed here at UNEP-WCMC for several days. They went about the business of recording with the minimum of fuss and disruption. Some of the shots were quite complex and elaborate but it was pretty quickly obvious that they had no intention of settling for second best. They were determined to get every shot and everyone involved looking as good as possible and to get the message absolutely right.”
